Ah. Soaking wet. Just like falling into the marshes near their home. Not the most pleasant sensation ever, but not the worst, either.
Somehow enough had trickled down to their legs to soak their stockings, so they kicked off their boots and peeled off the socks. If they put the discarded garments a little too close to the Tailor's bookbag... No, wait. The Tailor would probably steal them and not give them back, just to keep the Piper from making a scene with them again. Into their own satchel the socks went.
