For the second time The Undistinguished Pupil went to reach for his hat to tip, pausing their flat and gloved palms against their chest they could only nod in thankful reciprocation once more. At this point they wondered how many judging eyes one might get for wearing a second smaller hat beneath their floral themed Gentleman's Hat.
Catching the compliment, the macaw, Belladonna perked up looking over Maven and finding this person not entirely, absolutely egregious or any more moderately repulsive as any other attendant and would thus (generously) be allowed to continue their proximity without a cruel squawk to leave so long as they continued the correct course of action. (To Belladonna this would be occasionally flinging another flattering word or two, not moving the mirror preoccupying them or potentially offering a grand treat of some kind.) The bird tapped onto the rim of the compact with a satisfied clink.
"A thank you more generous from her I am afraid you are unlikely to receive," The Undistinguished Pupil flashed a wide smile. "I would compare your beauty, but I've found she gets rather temperamental whenever I even insinuate such a thing. Perhaps you could give me something else to compliment, a name perhaps?" Their eyes crinkle with a big grin as they held aloft their hand to shake. "I am an Undistinguished Pupil, oft I haunt these halls and anywhere else I find myself." They greeted.
