There was a barely suppressed chuckle, and then the Tailor nudged the box towards Thursday with a finger. "Help yourself."

They were good scones. Excellent ones. The Maven had duplicated the Soft-Hearted Widow's recipe to near perfection. The Tailor didn't prefer scones, though, so they didn't mind sharing as long as it was asked politely.

"Oh, by the way, the Professor has left the notes from last week on the board back there--" they gestured a bit at a board that had been pushed to the side of the room "--so if you need to get a better look, you've got the chance."

Oh, gosh, they were talking with their mouth full. Crumbs. Literally. They sheepishly covered their mouth.
