Maven gave them a sympathetic look, and sat close enough to talk but far enough so he would not feel crowded, and looked them in the eyes as she spoke, "You know, if there is something troubling you, maybe there is some way I could help you. Even if all you need is someone to talk to, I would be willing to do that. I know we have only recently met, so if you don't feel comfortable telling me then you don't have to. But if you need someone to lend an ear, I can do that."
