"Ah," she glanced at her companion, who was already leaning back and zoning out in his seat. The smoked lenses may give plausible deniability at a glance to those not paying attention. But between those, the slightly pointed canines, and the small scar on his forehead that had a more waxy than fleshy appearance, there wasn't much denying the obvious.
"Yes, that is right," she admitted, "he is... already fluent, so yes, not here to learn. He's been helping me in my independent studies, but naturally there's been a bit of a disconnect in how we both see and understand the Correspondence. I suppose he wants to see how a human would teach something like this."
